Van der Graaf generator?

No, no.... just a metal bar..... and there I was beginning to think that her hair was starting to lie flat!

Summer fun!

Cruising Meg

Nobody told me that there wouldn't be a break between crawling and pulling up.....on EVERYTHING! I am totally amazed at the changes in Meg this past week. Besides the continuous mama mama mama she is also saying baba and we think there may have been a dada in there too. She is starting to cruise along the furniture and amazingly enough there havn't been too many bumps. It is now almost impossible to change her nappy as she wriggles and squirms. We are now greeted with her little head and big smile peeping over the top of the cot when we walk in to get her. She also through her first 'semi-tantrum' in the supermarket a few days ago when I tried to take the keys away from her that I had given her to distract her from pulling my bunch of Basil apart. I think the fun and games are just beginning :)

Father's Day

Meg spoilt Tim with a framed photograph of the 2 of them together.

Mama Mia

Meg is finally saying Mama which is all very well until she cries out Mama in the night and Tim rolls over and says 'she wants you!'

Hello/Goodbye

Today Meg waved for the first time. She obviously thought 'Will mom and dad just stop waving the whole time' and then she must have thought 'Hey if I show them I can do it maybe they will stop all that silly flapping'.

Meg bringing new meaning to the term 'Casual Dining'

Crawling and first tooth.....

Meggsie is now crawling at a rate of knots. Why is it that babies find cables and all things dangerous, interesting? I think we are going to have a very busy few months ahead of us! Also, this morning I felt her first bottom tooth pushing through - her toothless, gummy grin will soon be a thing of the past.

So she thinks she can clap

Little Meg thinks she can clap.... however she has a very interesting technique! When you ask her to clap she clasps both hands tightly and then proceeds to shake her hands up and down very vigorously. She grins and giggles whilst doing this and thinks she is awfully smart. Of course Tim and I crack up laughing which gets her even more excited and the hands go faster up and down!

What Meg may look like one day if gravity ever takes effect!

Spectacular?

Yes.... that adjective was used to describe Meg's hairdo by her Aunty Kayla... I think it is spectacularly cute!

I'm all ears

Sometimes one is just not enough....

I thought I was going to die laughing when I walked in on Meg only to find that she had located her spare dummy and decided two was better than one! She looked up at me as if it was a perfectly normal thing to do!

Ridiculously sweet....

OK got it on camera.... wasn't very difficult - I think we are going to have trouble keeping that tongue where it belongs :)
I'm her mom so I am allowed to ooh and aah.... she really is ridiculously cute with her spiky hair and pointy tongue!

Soooo cute

When Meg gets really excited she sticks her tongue out. The cute thing is that it is all pointy and she sticks it out to one side. Looking forward to catching it on camera.

Enjoying her play wall.

Eating is fun!

Meg is finally getting this eating thing. She is enjoying her greens... well not quite as much as the other colours, but a massive improvement. She seems to enjoy breakfast the most and squeals with delight between every mouthful. Yogurt is also a firm favourite. It is just so sweet when she opens her mouth and 'dives' towards the spoon.

Bush walking is just soooooooo tiring!

Please don't laugh... I'm having a bad hair day.

Clever Meggsie

Meggsie can now sit on her own indefinitely. We also discovered that she is able to pass things to you when you ask for them which is very cute. She is very close to crawling... for the moment she is still only 'reversing'. Not so clever Meggsie in that she doesn't like to eat anything green! Avocado, peas and broccoli have all been very much rejected. I hope the courgettes go a little better tonight. There is lots of gagging and performing when ever anything green goes near her. Oh dear lets hope things improve!

Enjoying her solids...well most of them

So far Meg has taken to butternut, sweet potato, apple, pear and rice cereal. She did NOT enjoy the avocado I mashed up for her yesterday... there was lots of gagging, body shivering and then point blank refusal...

The Great Outdoors

A sunny day out at Rhodes Park provided Megan her first tree climbing opportunity and her cheeks caught some sun.

Turtle Time

High maintenance toy... each piece gets pulled off and turfed until they are all gone... and then there's drama. Rosy cheeks are proof of all the effort being put in.

6 months old...

Today Meg turned six months and we headed to the clinic for her check up. She now weighs a whopping 7.5kg... the formula has sure got her packing on the weight. Her weight and head circumference fall between the 50th and 90th percentile, while her height is below the 50th ... no surprises there!

Solids

Meg getting her first taste of solids... rice cereal. She actually enjoyed it more than it appears in this photo. Today we tried some butternut which she enjoyed a bit more. It is very amusing watching her expressions and body shivering with each mouthful she takes.

Blue Mountains

We spent the weekend up in the Blue Mountains with Graham, Belinda and Alec. It was very chilly - but nothing a roaring fire couldn't sort out!
Megan's first train ride between Blackheath and Katoomba for the Winter Magic Festival.

Brekkie at Eden Gardens

We celebrated Graham and Belinda's birthdays at Eden Gardens. Megan sported her jumper that Babcia knitted.

Happy Family :)

Milestones....

A number of milestones were reached while in WA
1) First ride on a bicycle
2) First ride in a boat
3) Meg found her toes
4) Started sitting (briefly) on her own
5) First cold

Vroom, vroom...

Little Moo getting acquainted with some transportation devices.

More cousins!

We headed over to WA to visit Matt, Hadley, Travis and Jaimee. It was great seeing them all and introducing Meg to some more relatives. Tim hadn't seen his bother for more than 4 years. As always we had some good fun with them.

M. E. G. A. N. spells Megan

Our neighbours very kindly bought Megan her name for her bedroom door. Each time Tim walks through the door with Megan in his hands he very patiently says 'Do you know what that says? It says Megan, Meg-an, that's your name, Megan' Megan and I have heard that sentence a million times!

Swinging on the deck.....

I think Meggie has inherited her Dad's adventurous spirit as she loves it when we swing her very high and she squeals with delight when we spin her around!

Having a chuckle with mom

Rock'n and Roll'n

On the 19th of April Meg rolled from her back to her tummy for the first time and on 02 May she rolled from her tummy to her back.

Pixie hat...
